All of our earring studs are water resistant.
All the pieces covered in clear resin and perforated (pieces with jump rings) must be stored in a dry place, as water and humidity can damage the wing inside. Keep the jewelry away from direct sun light.
To clean any sterling silver filigree pieces, we recommend using a polishing cloth.

How do you get the wings for your products?
Our wings come from certified butterfly breeders that send us the wings once the butterflies have expired naturally. No butterfly is harmed to make our jewelry. Learn more here.

Do you have a license to work with animal specimens?
We do. MONARCA has the permits to both import and export butterflies and insects, and to manufacture products with wings and feathers. In the US this permit was issued to us by the Fish and Wildlife Service, and it guarantees we work with non-CITES (threatened/endangered) species.

All orders will ship in up to 2 business days. If you need your order shipped sooner, please contact me to find out if it is possible.

If you would like to return or exchange an item, please contact me within 3 days, and ship it back within 7 days of receiving your order.
- Returns must be unworn and undamaged. I will issue the refund minus the shipping fee once I have received the item.
- The customer is responsible for all exchange shipping costs.
- Sale items are not eligible for returns, exchanges or refunds.
About Our Butterflies
No butterfly is harmed or collected from the wild to make our jewelry. The butterfly wings are sent to us from breeding farms once the butterflies have expired.
Monarca also has a permit issued by US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) to work with butterflies.
